The Bound Angels
The Bound Angels Scholarship awards two Perry high school graduates $2,000 towards college in honor of Myka Gray and Kayleigh O’Brien. Myka and Kayleigh’s lives were tragically cut short in an automobile accident in 2017, and since then, we have been awarding these scholarships to students who embody who Myka and Kayleigh were. Both girls were so hardworking, loved children, and were heavily involved in volunteering, from hosting food drives to Tim Tebow’s “night to shine” special needs dances, and even feeding the homeless in Chicago. They were both going to be teachers, Myka in special education and Kayleigh in early childhood education. This is our way of honoring our angels in helping these students achieve their academic goals!
